“It’s not that I can’t fight. I’m not supposed to. It’s against my religion, you know? I’m a Buddhist.”
Steven Seagal as Lt. Jack Cole – The Glimmer Man (1996)
Setting:
Cole and Det. Jim Campbell (Keenen Ivory Wayans) are confronted in a parking garage by Russian mobsters. Before the fight, where Cole takes out a number of them, he tells Campbell that he can’t fight. Afterwards, looking at the bodies on the ground, Campbell says, “You know, for a minute there I forgot you said you can’t fight.” This was Cole’s answer.
Movie Trivia:
Kevin Brodbin wrote The Glimmer Man (1996).
About the Actor:
Steven Seagal did some slicing and dicing with a credit card in The Glimmer Man (1996), but there actually is a Steven Seagal knife that was made by Kershaw Knives. It had his signature in English on one side and in Japanese characters on the other.
